So I often get asked how to keep up with all of the changes in the cloud from the CSP (cloud service provider) aspect. As it relates to Microsoft Azure there are some great resources we can use to review updates and current releases. I usually look at what Microsoft is doing in development to determine what is coming up to research and be prepared.
By leveraging the M365 Roadmap and Azure Updates we are able to filter out and review the upcoming releases. It can be filtered out to narrow down specific feature changes. Microsoft has multiple methods and materials on this subject with all the implications, but this is in my opinion very useful for planning purposes.
For example if you filter out the M365 roadmap for DLP (Microsoft Purview), then I see as shown below that Microsoft is planning on allowing admins to retrieve the file as part of evidence. I actually had someone ask me that exact question a few months back, but it wasn't listed at that time in the roadmap. However as soon as I saw it listed then was able to provide the update that it's in dev, and the planned release date.
